Our brand.

Uhuru means freedom — and everything that carries our name carries that promise. This page sets out the identity system that governs every expression of Uhuru Infrastructure: from this website to feasibility studies, presentations, social media and project signage.

01 · The Logo

A circle, a U, a promise.

Our mark is a solid green circle carrying a white "U" — unity, a road's loop, a continent's momentum. It is paired with the Uhuru wordmark in Deep Forest and the descriptor INFRASTRUCTURE tracked wide in Uhuru Green.

Uhuru INFRASTRUCTURE

Primary lockup — for white and light backgrounds.

Uhuru INFRASTRUCTURE

Reverse lockup — for Deep Forest, Ink and photography.

Always: use the supplied master files; keep clear space equal to the height of the "U" on all sides; switch to the icon below 140 px lockup width; keep the circle Uhuru Green with a white "U" in every version.
Never: stretch, rotate or recolour the logo; add shadows or outlines; place the dark-text lockup on dark or busy imagery; re-typeset the wordmark in another font; squeeze the full lockup into a circular avatar — that is the icon's job.
02 · Colour

A confident, natural palette.

Deep Forest carries authority; Uhuru Green carries energy and growth; Savanna Gold is used sparingly as a mark of quality. Usage ratio: 60% White/Mist · 25% Forest/Ink · 12% Uhuru Green · 3% Gold.

Accessibility: body text is always Ink on White/Mist or White on Forest/Ink (contrast > 10:1). Uhuru Green is for large text and UI elements only; Spring Green never appears on white.

03 · Typography

Two typefaces, one voice.

Poppins — geometric and modern, echoing the logo — leads every headline. Inter — engineered for screens — carries long-form text. Both are Google Fonts, free and available worldwide. Fallback: Helvetica / Arial (print & e-mail: Calibri).

Poppins · Display & Headings
Freedom to move.
Freedom to grow.

Weights 500 · 600 · 700 · 800. Kickers set 12–13px, +0.25em tracking, uppercase, Uhuru Green.

Inter · Body & Interface

Uhuru Infrastructure develops bankable transport corridors through public-private partnership — from traffic studies and feasibility to environmental safeguards, financing and delivery.

Weights 400 · 500 · 600. Body 16–18px on screen, 10.5pt in documents; line height 1.6–1.75; max 70 characters per line.

04 · Graphic Language

Corridors and a continent.

Two signature devices anchor the brand: flowing corridor lines drawn from route geometry, and the geographically accurate Africa dot-map with our project locations marked in gold and spring green.

  • Corridor lines — waypoint-dotted route curves, used on dark grounds at 10–18% opacity, never over body text;
  • The Africa dot-map — built from real country boundaries; used large as a hero element or ghosted as a watermark;
  • Route maps — green ribbon, white dashed centreline, gold origin marker, spring-green destinations;
  • Photography — aerial corridors, construction, communities served; natural colour, warm light, dignity always; Deep Forest scrim behind any overlaid text;
  • Icons — 2px line icons, rounded caps, Deep Forest or Uhuru Green. Never emoji.
05 · Tone of Voice

Confident. Precise. Human.

We write like the credible international developer we are — and we never forget who infrastructure is for. Lead with impact, be specific, use plain English, and treat communities as partners in every sentence.

We say: "The Kasindi–Beni–Butembo Corridor will cut journey times on 134 km of the DRC's busiest trade route — connecting North Kivu's producers to regional markets."
Not: "We are a leading world-class synergistic provider of innovative end-to-end infrastructure solutions."
"Kilometres, provinces, standards, dates. Evidence is our brand — in a report, a post, or a single sentence."
