The full development journey.

We take strategic routes from concept to bankable, investment-ready assets — and stay with them through delivery and operation.

The Uhuru Lifecycle

Five stages. One standard.

Every Uhuru project moves through the same disciplined pipeline — the reason our corridors earn the confidence of governments and lenders alike.

Origination

Identifying strategically vital routes where infrastructure will unlock trade, integration and growth — aligned with national development plans.

Feasibility & Design

Traffic studies, economic evaluation and preliminary engineering to international standards — proving the case before capital is committed.

Safeguards

Environmental & social impact assessment, consultation and resettlement frameworks that protect people and ecosystems.

Structuring

Packaging bankable PPP / BOT concessions — commercial models, risk allocation and rights applications that bring investors to the table.

Delivery & Operation

Championing the project through financing, construction and long-term operation and maintenance.

In Depth

What each stage involves.

STAGE 01–02

Origination, Feasibility & Preliminary Design

Bankability begins with evidence. We commission and direct the full technical case for every corridor:

  • Classified traffic counts, origin–destination surveys and demand forecasting
  • Economic evaluation — cost-benefit analysis, EIRR, NPV and sensitivity testing
  • Preliminary engineering design to AASHTO and national geometric standards
  • Interchange, drainage and pavement options analysis with lifecycle costing
STAGE 03

Environmental & Social Safeguards

World-class infrastructure must be responsible infrastructure. Each project carries a complete safeguards package:

  • Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) with field surveys and baselines
  • Stakeholder consultation and community engagement along the corridor
  • Resettlement frameworks with fair, transparent compensation cost estimates
  • Mitigation, monitoring and grievance mechanisms through construction and operation
STAGE 04

PPP Structuring & Investment Readiness

We speak both languages — public interest and private capital — and structure concessions both sides can sign:

  • PPP and Build–Operate–Transfer (BOT) commercial structuring
  • Rights applications and regulatory approvals with government counterparts
  • Risk allocation, tolling and revenue model design
  • Investor engagement and financing preparation
STAGE 05

Delivery & Long-Term Operation

Development doesn't end at financial close. We stay accountable for what we started:

  • Owner's-side oversight through detailed design and construction
  • Environmental and social commitments carried into delivery
  • Operation & maintenance regimes that protect asset value for decades
  • Impact measurement — jobs, journey times, trade volumes
Where We Focus

Sectors & geography.

Expressways & Highways

High-capacity urban and inter-city expressways that decongest cities and carry national trade — like the four-lane Kampala–Bombo Expressway.

Cross-Border Trade Corridors

Routes that stitch regional economies together — like the 134 km Kasindi–Beni–Butembo corridor linking Uganda and the DRC's North Kivu province.

Public Infrastructure

A growing pipeline of public infrastructure where the PPP model can deliver faster, better and more accountably than traditional procurement.
